When you register, we collect information about your business, goals, industry, and what you're looking for in connections. Our team manually reviews every attendee and handpicks 2-3 people for you to meet at each event based on complementary skills, shared interests, or collaboration potential. It's not an algorithm, it's human curation by people who genuinely want you to succeed.
Absolutely. Second Degree Society was designed with introverts in mind. You'll know exactly who you're meeting before you arrive (no surprises), we facilitate the introductions (no awkward approaching strangers), and our events are intimate, just 20 people max. Many of our most active members are self-identified introverts who finally found networking that doesn't drain them.
We cap events at 20 entrepreneurs. This keeps things intimate, ensures quality connections, and allows us to properly curate matches for everyone. Unlike traditional networking events with 50-100 people where you leave overwhelmed, our events are designed for depth over breadth.
Events typically run 1 hour-90 minutes with 30 minutes for curated networking, followed by 60 minutes of programming (panel discussions, workshops, or collaborative sessions). We host events monthly, but there's no obligation to attend every one. Come when it works for your schedule.
Not quite. We're not a structured referral group with mandatory weekly meetings or quotas. Referrals and business collaborations absolutely happen (and frequently!), but they're a natural outcome of building genuine relationships, not a forced requirement. Think of us as a curated community focused on intentional connection first, with business results as a byproduct.
We welcome entrepreneurs at all stages across diverse industries: coaches, consultants, creatives (photographers, designers, writers), service providers, agency owners, and more. What matters most isn't your industry, it's your mindset. We're looking for people who value quality connections, show up with intention, and genuinely want to support others while growing their own business.
Membership starts at $55 month (with annual membership) or $67 per month - For example: "Individual events are $35 per person for virtual or $50 for IRL, or join our monthly membership for $67/month with unlimited event access and exclusive community benefits."
Guests are welcome, but they must register separately so we can properly curate their connections too. Every attendee deserves the full Second Degree Society experience, including handpicked matches and pre-event bios. Simply have your guest register through our website, and we'll take care of the rest.
We understand things come up! Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel. [We have a 12 hour cancellation policy] - For example: "Cancellations 12 hours before the event receive a full refund or credit toward a future event, otherwise we will charge a cancellation penalty to members.”

I kept thinking: there has to be a better way to do this.
As an entrepreneur, I needed real connections—not surface-level interactions. I needed to meet people who actually *got* what I was building, who could collaborate or refer business, and who I genuinely enjoyed spending time with.
"What if networking events were curated? What if someone took the time to handpick who you should meet based on your actual goals and interests? What if you could walk into a room already knowing who'd be there and why you should connect?"
