Everything You Need To Know When Planning A Bachelorette

By Neela Asaadi

In my line of work, the wedding industry, I have the pleasure of getting to know all sorts of brides. All of the creative details from the “Yes” to the “I do” are moments we get to visualize and plan out together.

While the wedding is the final milestone, other events such as the bachelorette and the bridal shower require significant effort as well. Here is a guide to planning your “ideal bachelorette”.

Stay true to the bride. Things to consider:

  • How do you want to celebrate this experience?
  • What kinds of activities do you want to be doing?
  • What is the vibe?
  • What is the emphasis on? (Partying, food, drinking, physical activities, spiritual activities?)
  • What is non-negotiable?
  • Where and for how long will it be?
  • Do you want people to travel?
  • Is there a budget that you’re working with?
  • How many total members in your group?
  • Do you want to get swag?

Timing

When should the bachelorette be?

  • Usually the bachelorette takes place anywhere from 1-3 months before the wedding.

How far in advance should you let your friends know that it’s happening?

  • The sooner the better! People have to plan and possibly take time off.
  • If you are planning a trip that requires a flight, as soon as you’ve chosen your location, send a save the date (digital is fine) or email the group.

Collecting Information

How are you going to collect all the necessary information from each guest? We have created a digital form that allows your friends and guests to fill out all of their information so you can stay organized with details!

The Itinerary

How do you want to share all of the details with your group?  You can choose one of our existing Bachelorette city-specific templates to fill out the weekend plans digitally and send to each individual coming! They can print it out or have it on their phones for the bachelorette. If you don’t see the city you’re traveling to, no problem! We can customize it for you.

Don’t Overplan

When it comes to the bachelorette parties, we tend to get SO excited to do all of the things that we end up jamming way too many activities into the day/weekend. Leave time for travel, meals and rest.

While your squad is there for you, they also want to show up as their best selves…so make sure you allot time for some buffer room.

Have fun!

Don’t stress out too much about logistics! At the end of the day, this is meant to be a vacation for everyone. Indulge, laugh, dance, sing and just celebrate your bride!
